In the midst of our conversation, a little boy, likely the age of 2, was lying at the entrance of Starbucks. His mother had already walked a shop away. She turned around and said sternly ‘Get.Up.Now, Adam. We’re going!’.
My friend and I exchanged looks. Toddler tantrum. We both knew how that mother felt.
Many are quick to judge and equate toddler tantrums with the lack of discipline. Oh, just you wait till you have your own spawn!
Tantrums can happen anytime and anywhere. And when you’re in that situation, you just wish you could peel them off the floor of Starbucks and cart them home without drawing any attention.
I kid you not, handling toddler tantrums are a different skill set altogether.
